There are eight planets in our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. This necklace shows them all in order sized accurately to scale. This means Mercury, the smallest planet, is about 38.3% of the size of the Earth. On the other hand, Jupiter, the largest planet, is 1121% of the size of the Earth.

You can see that all of the outer planets are larger than the inner planets. These are called the gas giants and are very different from the planets close to the sun. One of the most famous planets you can see with a ring around it, Saturn. However, all of the gas giants do have some kind of ring system, even if they aren't as visible as Saturn's rings.
