Sci Chic is all about using advanced technology to make fashionable jewelry and we wanted to give you a little bit of a behind the scenes look at our process of how we bring our items from our computer to your door.
Design:
All of our pieces are modeled using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software. By using the tools provided in the software we are able to edit the shape of our jewelry in a 3D environment. This is what our small atom necklace looks like in our program:

After the model is completed, we transfer it over into a Stereo Lithography (.stl) file.
Printing:
We input this .stl file into a software that allows us to set up files for printing. It will allow us to arrange all our pieces of jewelry on the printing platform. This way we can print multiple pieces at once in whatever formation we find best.

We can also select the quality, speed, and other factors of the print process within this program.
